Here is what happened:
A new Suits spinoff is headed our way, and it won’t feature the iconic character of Harvey Specter. Titled Suits: L.A., the upcoming TV show will instead follow the story of former New York federal prosecutor Ted Black as he navigates a career as one of LA’s top lawyers. In the pilot episode, Black’s firm faces a crisis point, and in order to save it, he must step into a role that he’s always held in contempt.
The show also features supporting characters that test their loyalties to Ted while intertwining their personal and professional lives. Revealed in a statement by NBC, the series promises to unveil past events that caused Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved.
A pilot for Suits: L.A. is set to begin production in Vancouver in March, with Aaron Korsh serving as the creator. The show’s executive producer is Doug Liman, known for his work on hit films like The Bourne Identity and Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
Patrick J. Adams told The Hollywood Reporter that he would be ready to return as one of the original characters if he was given the opportunity.
The spinoff will feature a stellar cast and a compelling storyline that promises to captivate audiences. Lastly, while no original stars have been confirmed for the series yet, the show is highly anticipated in the entertainment industry.
