• Jenny McCarthy transformed into Albus Dumbledore for The Masked Singer’s Harry Potter week episode, looking unrecognizable and much older.
• Fellow judges Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger also dressed up as Severus Snape and a Gryffindor student, respectively.
• Tyler Posey, known for his role in Teen Wolf, was eliminated as the Hawk during Harry Potter week.
Here is what happened:
In the October 25 episode of The Masked Singer, Jenny McCarthy showcased her wizardry by transforming into Albus Dumbledore for Harry Potter week. With the help of makeup magic, McCarthy sported a prosthetic nose, aging makeup, a gray wig, a large beard, and bushy eyebrows, making her look unrecognizable and significantly older than her actual age. Her fellow judge, Ken Jeong, also got into character as Severus Snape, complete with long hair and black wizard robes, while Nicole Scherzinger dressed as a Gryffindor student in a red and gold uniform.
In a behind-the-scenes video posted on Instagram, McCarthy greeted Scherzinger in a deep voice, asking if she had learned anything that day. The two judges even lip-synced to famous lines from the Harry Potter movies and broke into a dance backstage. McCarthy playfully joked about her faux facial hair, saying she went for a “more natural look” that week.
Unfortunately, the contestant who received the least amount of votes and had to leave the show was Hawk, who had performed The Police’s “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic.” Revealed to be Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey, Hawk expressed his disappointment but forgave the outcome. He mentioned his love for performing and his desire to compete in the show, even though he was a bit competitive and hurt by the elimination.
Throughout the season, other contestants such as Anonymouse (Demi Lovato), Rubber Ducky (Anthony Anderson), Diver (Tom Sandoval), Pickle (Michael Rapaport), and Royal Hen (Billie Jean King) have been unmasked. The show features a diverse cast of masked celebrities, including Gazelle, Husky, S’more, Anteater, Tiki, Hibiscus, Donut, and Cow.
