• Camila Morrone wants Daisy Jones and The Six to return for a second season and has called on Amazon Prime Video and Reese Witherspoon’s company Hello Sunshine to renew it
• Camila Morrone also received the Breakthrough Actress Award in TV for her performance as the lead singer’s wife and the group’s photographer
• Suki Waterhouse also said that the cast would love a season two of Daisy Jones & the Six, and already have “a lot of silly ideas” of how it could go
Here is what happened:
At the Critics Choice Association’s Celebration of Cinema and Television Honoring Black, Latino, and AAPI Achievements on December 4th, Camila Morrone, who plays Camila Alvarez in ‘Daisy Jones & The Six’ expressed hope for a potential second season. She mentioned that there is still more story left to be told, and that everyone involved with the show is proud of the work they did in the first season, hinting that there are unsubtle clues the plot could follow in a second season.
As her co-star, Suki Waterhouse, also expressed the cast’s desire for a second season back in April, they want to do more than just figure out the story. Waterhouse, who plays Karen Sirko in the series, is hopeful that there will be more to Daisy Jones & The Six in the future, admitting the whole cast has “a lot of silly ideas” about potential storylines for a second season.
The series, based on a 2019 novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid, was released in March and is centered around the story of a Los Angeles rock band. Morrone recently received the Breakthrough Actress Award in TV at the same event and is open to many different possibilities for the future of her character. As it currently stands, the series seems strong enough to tell a more extensive story and the cast is excited to see the show progress.
